Spaghetti and Meatballs

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or ground turkey or mixture
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbs. Parsley, finely chopped
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Sauce

Combine ground beef or ground turkey with bread crumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, salt (if desired) and pepper. Shape into about 2-inch meatballs. Broil in oven for approx 8 minutes each side until brown or in a large skillet on stove over low heat until brown. Turn frequently. Drain off excess fat.

Boil water for pasta or spaghetti and cook as directed.

Add garlic granulates to olive oil in large skillet or cooking pot over medium heat for 1 minute or until oil gets hot. Quickly add the ground tomatoes and seasonings. Add (pre-cooked) meatballs and simmer on low for 20 minutes stirring frequently.

Drain and rinse pasta or spaghetti as directed. (Add small amount of sauce to keep pasta from sticking.) Serve sauce and meatballs over pasta and garnish with Parmesan Cheese.
