March 10th is National Ranch Dressing Day!

Did you know that ranch dressing was invented in the 1950s at a dude ranch in Santa Barbara? Historically it is a buttermilk dressing seasoned with a long list of herbs and spices such as:

  • onions
  • garlic
  • dill
  • parsley
  • chives
  • paprika
  • black pepper

Modern recipes use sour cream or yogurt in lieu of buttermilk, but we’re leaving you with a vegan, avocado-based ranch dressing recipe so that everyone can celebrate National Ranch Dressing Day. Serve it with some carrots sticks and cucumber chips for an extra healthy treat.

Vegan Avocado Ranch Dressing
1 Large Avocado
3/4 cup Coconut Milk
3 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tsp Organic Tzaziki Seasoning
1 clove garlic
1 tsp Organic Onion
1 ½ tsp kosher salt
Combine in blender and pulse until smooth. Keeps in a sealed container, refrigerated, for up to a week.
