Ingredients
For the mushroom shawarma
- 1 tbsp of oil
- ¼ red onion, sliced
- 2 large portobello mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp of paprika powder
- 1 tsp of cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the spicy yogurt sauce
- 3 oz yogurt
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- Fresh parsley
- Fresh dill
Serve with: Greek pita
Directions/Instructions:
1 - In a hot pan, add oil and start by frying the onions and mushrooms
2 - Season with cayenne, paprika, cumin, salt and black pepper
3 - Cook for 5 minutes
4 - Mix the yogurt sauce ingredients
5 - Toast the pita/bread. Top with sauce and mushroom shawarma.
