The benefit of this, is that by keeping the seed intact until just prior to use, the potency of the spice is preserved. To take advantage of this, simply use a spice grinder to pulverize the seeds, just prior to use in your favorite sweet or savory recipes. Try adding a pinch into your next baked good to infuse with a delightfully spicy sweetness, or add some into your next pot off coffee or tea. The zesty notes, and mild spiciness also contribute beautifully to meat rubs and braises, or as a simply way to spice up a pot of quinoa or rice!
