Our all-natural and gluten-free Organic Rosemary Ground is made up of the aromatic, needle-like leaves of the evergreen shrub by the same name. A Mediterranean native, rosemary's distinctive fragrant flavor adds depth to a variety of cooked dishes, most often meats and stuffings.

Ground Rosemary is a healthy way to spice up a variety of dishes at home.

Rosemary is commonly paired with thyme and/or lemon to create delicious chicken seasonings.

Ground Rosemary also pairs well with most roasted vegetables. Whether it be potatoes, carrots, or mushrooms; simply toss them in oil and add some chopped fresh rosemary before placing in the oven for roasting.

It is considered a rich source of antioxidants and can provide a boost to the immune system.

Rosemary's association with remembrance holds some scientific weight as well; it has been known to increase blood flow to the head and brain, improving the ability to concentrate.

Rosemary is a native to the area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea where it has long been a pivotal part of their food culture.

Rosemary takes its name from the Latin words rosmarinus officinalis meaning "Dew of the Sea." Legend has it that Rosemary was draped around the Greek goddess Aphrodite when she arose from the sea, hence the name.

Often associated with remembrance, rosemary has been used for war commemorations and funerals in Europe and Australia. The act of laying sprigs of rosemary on a gravesite dates back to ancient Egypt.

The Greeks wore wreaths of rosemary around their heads to improve their memory when taking exams. 

Also associated with love, rosemary crowns were often donned by brides in the Middle Ages, while the groom and guests wore sprigs.

Though it has slowly become less romanticized the herb has continued global fame in the edible realm.
