Gingerbread Loaf

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Cook Time: 50 minutes

Servings: 1 serving (loaf)


For the icing:
  • 1 cup of confectioner's sugar 
  • 3 tbsp of orange juice
1 - Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
2 In another bowl, cream the butter with an electric mixer and then add in the brown sugar, and cream again
3 - Now you can add in the egg and beat again
4 - Mix the molasses with the warm water nicely
5 - In three batches, add dry mix and molasses mix to the butter mix -- mixing nicely each of the three times
6 - At the end you should have a thin dough
7 - Transfer to a loaf pan and cook for 50 minutes at 375 F
8Mix the confectioner's sugar and the orange juice
9Let it cool down, before glazing it
