Gingerbread Loaf

Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 2 tsp of Spicely Organics Ginger Ground
- 1/2 tsp of Spicely Organics Cinnamon Ground
- 2/3 cup of pomegranate molasses
- 3/4 cup of warm water
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
For the icing:
- 1 cup of confectioner's sugar
- 3 tbsp of orange juice
Directions/Instructions:
1 - Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
2 - In another bowl, cream the butter with an electric mixer and then add in the brown sugar, and cream again
3 - Now you can add in the egg and beat again
4 - Mix the molasses with the warm water nicely
5 - In three batches, add dry mix and molasses mix to the butter mix -- mixing nicely each of the three times
6 - At the end you should have a thin dough
7 - Transfer to a loaf pan and cook for 50 minutes at 375 F
8 - Mix the confectioner's sugar and the orange juice
9 - Let it cool down, before glazing it
