Organic Peppercorn Black, black peppercorns
Our Organic Peppercorn Black is derived from the fruit of the pepper plant known as Piper Nigrum. The tiny fruits grow on a climbing vine, in clusters like grapes. To ensure robust taste, our premium peppercorn are hand-picked when they are not quite ripe; when they boast the most firm notes of their irresistible flavors.

Using at home
Grind our whole black peppercorns and add the freshly released flavor into any dish; you can be sure the dish will be delicious.
Add our black peppercorns last to dishes that take a long cooking time. Adding the black peppercorns near the end of the cooking process will ensure the excellent flavors are preserved as cooking too long reduces the flavor quality.
For pan-searing or grilling dishes, the black peppercorns can be added just prior to the cooking process.
Health
Black pepper stimulates the taste buds which is believed to help the stomach increase hydrochloric acid secretion thereby assisting with digestion, preventing constipation, and gas irritation along the way.
Black pepper also demonstrates impressive antioxidant and antibacterial effects.
BenefitsDirectly sourced, all-natural peppercorn.
Whole peppercorns are particularly valuable as they do not lose flavor or fragrance over time like pre-ground pepper is known to do.
Of the three types of peppercorns (black, white, and green) the black pepper has the strongest flavor and aroma; slightly hot with a hint of peppered sweetness.
Immediately after picking our pepper fruit is dried until the fruit shrivels and the skin turns from dark brown to black; preserving the fruits aromatic and flavor properties.
HistoryPepper is perhaps the most widely known and common spice used globally today.
Pepper has been a highly prized trade good for centuries. Black peppercorn, also known as "black gold," has been the focus of a global trade empire.
The use of peppercorns dates back to ancient Egypt with evidence suggesting that peppercorns were used during mummification rituals.
More recent history relates to the spices trade initiated by Dutch traders who found pepper in Indonesia and spread it to the rest of the world.
Once integrated into cuisines, the flavorful peppercorns quickly took hold and today are one of the most widely traded spices worldwide.
