Cayenne Lime Dressing & Marinade
Now that we have turkey successfully tucked into our bellies, it is time to take a deep breath and eat healthy before we jump into the December holiday season. Our favorite spicy ingredient that may increase blood flow and metabolism is cayenne pepper!
Cayenne pepper can be found in cuisines all over the world. Known for packing a punch, this little pepper can truly inspire the palate. Here is one of our all-time favorite (and versatile!) ways to use cayenne pepper:
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Cook Time: 10 minutes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon Organic Ground Cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon Organic Ground Cumin
- salt to taste
- Whisk all ingredients together and serve at room temperature. This dressing is sweet and spicy. It goes great over a mixed greens salad with some queso fresco or as a marinate for your chicken fajitas! Have leftover salad dressing? Stick in a jar in your fridge and it will stay fresh for one week.
