Creamed Spinach with Crispy Breadcrumb Topping

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 oz of spinach
  • 1 tsp of garlic granulates
  • 1 tsp of thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 1 oz of parmesan cheese
  • 1 oz of panko breadcrumbs

                     

                      Directions/Instructions:

                      1 - Preheat oven to 375 F

                      2 - Heat olive oil in an oven safe pan and add in the spinach

                      3 - Cook while stirring constantly until the spinach is wilted

                      4 - Season with salt, black pepper, granulated garlic, and thyme

                      5 - Mix well and add in the heavy cream and parmesan

                      6 - Cook for 1 more minute, cover with breadcrumbs, and transfer in to the oven

                      7 - Bake for 10 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy
