Mango Sumac Semifreddo

For the mango sumac puree:

  • 7 oz of mango, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tsp of sumac

For the rest:

  • 1 cup of condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp of plain yogurt
  • 1 oz of dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup of whipping cream




                              1 - Add mango and sugar to a pan and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes

                              2 - Transfer to blender, add sumac, and process until smooth; set aside and let cool

                              3 - In a mixing bowl, add condensed milk, yogurt, and chocolate and mix well; set aside

                              4 - In another bowl, add whipping cream, and using an electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form

                              5 - Gently fold the whipped cream in the condensed milk and chocolate mixture

                              6 - In a glass container, combine mango sumac puree and whipped cream/milk/chocolate mixture; mix very well

                              7 - Place in a freezer, for at least 6 hours, before serving
