Spiced Pear and Almond Tarts

Ingredients
- Puff pastry
For the filling:
- 4 oz of butter
- 4 oz of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 oz of almond flour
- 2 oz of all purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of Spicely Organics Cardamom Ground
For the rest:
- 1 pear, cut in half, deseeded
- 1 tbsp of honey
- Crushed nuts
Directions/Instructions:
1 - Roll out the puff pastry and place over the tart tins
2 - Shape it nicely, cut off the excess pastry, and poke holes in the bottom using a fork
3 - Place baking paper on top and place something heavy on it, so the pastry doesn't puff
4 - Cook for 15 minutes, at 375 F
5 - Meanwhile, using an electric mixer -- beat the butter, sugar, and egg
6 - Now add in the rest of the filling ingredients and beat until thick
7 - Pour the mixture in the puff pastry bases -- it should be thick but when cooking it will spread and puff
8 - Place the pear on top and push down a bit
9 - Cook for 50 minutes, at 375 F and when serving -- glaze with honey and sprinkle with crushed nuts
